Renee has studied her craft under several Nationally known portrait painters in NYC and has taught portraiture at the acclaimed NYC School of Visual Arts.

She brings the internal spirit of her client alive in their portrait. Renee’s oil portraits capture that special gleam in someone’s eye, their uniqueness! A photo by itself can not capture the true essence of a person’s personality, and joy of life.

To have a truly wonderful portrait, it is best to have several sittings as well as utilizing photos taken specifically for the portrait as support information.

The paintings shown on this page are both commissioned works as well as figurative work which are for sale from the artist. A number have been awarded prizes from nationally acclaimed art organizations. They have been rendered both in oil and graphite drawings.
